Anonymous asked: I was just wondering.. if I do 30 minutes on the epileptical 3 times a week with low resistance, how much weight would it be possible to loose? (I do other workouts too, but just wondering) I'm 5"6, 219 lbs, eating ca. 1200 kcal a day.
Well hello there! First off, let me tell you this: You need to be eating more than 1200 calories. I would aim for 1600 calories a day, but I’m not a nutritionist! I’m just going by things I’ve heard from other people on this website that seem to know what they’re talking about. And, from personal experience, it doesn’t really matter how many calories you eat a day (as long as you aren’t pigging out on unhealthy foods.) I stopped counting calories altogether.
So, for the normal person you should be getting about 30 minutes of exercise every day. I don’t know how much walking you do or what kind of job you have or what kind of lifestyle you live but 30 minutes of low resistance on the elliptical only three days a week wouldn’t give you noticeable results (as I don’t know what other workouts you do).
I love working out on the elliptical though. What I do is I set the resistance level pretty high (for the one at the gym I go to level 8, level 9 and level 10 are the ones I stick to.) Even if you’re going hella slow, as long as you’re sweating and you feel the burn you’re doing your body wonders. :)
Just remember it takes time. You aren’t going to see results in a week. And being 219 pounds, if you’re losing weight the healthy way, it’s going to take you some time. But I believe in you! Just don’t give up. If you need anything else you can always come to me. :)
Sorry for talking so much, I hope that answers your question!
